Men In Black International Review
Men In Black International is a pleasantly surprising, fun time at the movie theater. But it wasn’t perfect. So I want to go over what I loved, liked, and what I didn’t like about Men In Black International.
What I Loved
Men In Black International made me fall in love with Tessa Thompson. I liked her as Valkyrie for the MCU and in the Creed movies, but here, Thompson is at her best. Her character is smart, resourceful, tough, and stylish. And what’s so fantastic is that Tessa Thompson as Agent M is a part of the team; she isn’t leading the pack, showing everyone how it’s done. She didn’t go around saying she’s a cool, strong, female character; she simply was, which is such a breath of fresh air.
What I Liked
Hemsworth is also great in this film, just not as much as Tessa Thompson. Sometimes his jokes didn’t quite land, whether it was the writing or his delivery, but Hemsworth is just so charismatic and he brought his natural charm as Agent H.
What I Didn’t Like
The Final Boss Battle
The movie was overall small in scope. The most uninteresting part of the film was the end; the final “boss battle” that happens in every sci-fi movie just felt by the numbers and too short. The final battle of the movie should have every audience member glued to the screen, at attention. Unfortunately, this film did not do that, so it ends on a bit of a low note.
Overall, Men In Black International is a genuinely fun time at the movies. It’s not a perfect film, but it’s funny, engaging, and the two leads are at their best.
